Plus shipping: This wood country home bird feeder is design to mount on a platform, but can be modified to hang from a tree limb. The country home bird feeder works for small to medium birds. It will handle sunflower seeds, small seeds, or mixed seeds for wild birds. : It will feed 6 to 8 birds at a time. If you use country home as a hanging bird feeder you'll need to get two small eye screws and wire. This wood bird feeder has a rustic country home appearance, including a front and side porches with handrails, the side porches are the feed areas, simulated boards on all sides, and trim to simulate the windows and door, cedar shake roofs. The country home bird feeder needs to be mounted on a platform with a very slight down angle towards the back to help drain the feed area. The right roof lifts up for loading and has a hook to keep it closed during windy days. All our bird feeders are built with 7/8" cedar. All our bird feeders has a raised dispenser floor to prevent the potential of water seeping in under the bird feeder into the seed bunker. It has two pre-drilled screw holes in the front corners of the deck to secure it to the platform if desired. Also, by removing four screws on the bottom deck, you can take the top off for a complete cleaning.
