Our backyard and local area bird watching sightingsWe thought it might be of interest to some of the backyard bird watchers to include our bird watching and bird sightings along the Columbia River north of Kettle Falls in Northeastern Washington. We do most of our backyard bird watching from our back deck towards the Columbia River, our front deck towards the field and walks along the Columbia River. Our philosophy about backyard birding starts with the birdhouses and bird feeders, how they are constructed, providing clean water for drinking and daily baths, maintaining, as much as possible, the natural habitat, reducing the predators through natural means, as sad as it is they need to eat, too. There are many websites out there that provide enormous amounts of information about wild bird watching, wild bird habitat, and wild bird feeding. We hope you enjoy this part of our website and wish you many days of wonderful backyard bird watching, it's better than TV. If you have kids, get them an inexpensive binocular, a field guide book and turn them loose on nature. It's better than bug collecting. This part of our website is dedicated to sharing our experiences while backyard bird watching and the wild bird pictures we have managed to catch, and I do mean catch in an instant, some of the flight pictures took dozens to get one good one, thanks to digital camera's.
