I really don't know what to say about the "buzz word" organic when it relates to search engine optimization instead of gardening. The dictionary has an option that may fit, systematically arranged. My take is that it refers to natural honest seo design without using any unnatural seo design trickery.

I've always felt that Google has set the standard for search engines to find the best webpages for a given keyword phrase. Example, way, way back when, I was looking up astrology information for a client, before Google, and got results with astro in it, like tires.

When Google came along and started using programs to find the best webpages, things started to change, especially when they created a search engine program that not only eliminated tires from astrology, but also able to eliminated those web designers that loaded keywords onto a webpage to get higher positions. In other words, using unethical methods, cheating.

This is hard to admit, yes I did, but, I don't know if it was the organic stomach response or the imaginary hand of God resting on my shoulder that woke me up. You see, I always felt better when I accomplished something honestly on my own.

At any rate, these not so ethical methods of search engine manipulations gave birth to a program that used many algorithms to discard unethical webpages and choose webpages that seemingly had good content related to the keyword inquiry.

This became the real challenge for all of us, search engine optimization web designers, way back then, and in time created a very specialized discipline for those that wanted to do it right and sleep peaceably at night.

You see, when these buzz words get started, I initially resist, however, when potential clients ask me if I do organic seo work, it's hard not to say yes, especially, when you are in essence doing what most consider organic means.

If you see search engine optimization for Google, that tells me this person knows who leads the field in the best search engine results and also knows they cannot pull any punches, because, some how, at sometime, Google will find them, which may be your website that an unethical website designer created and now you will pay the price of low positions or being blacklisted by Google and/or other search engines.
