For conversions, sales, content should be tailored to the benefits of your product and/or services. When I say benefits, I mean by reaching in to their desires, needs and wants for whatever you are selling, with humanistic content full of the experiences, feelings and results of purchasing your product or services.

The trick is to write your web design content to serve both purposes. It's a fine line to walk, or should I say, write.

Keep in mind, your objective is to sell you product and/or services, not entertainment. Never waste or use your home page to entertain.
